Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a full-time Structural Bridge Engineer to join our Orlando transportation team. The candidate will design, analyze, and supervise bridge projects, mentoring junior staff and coordinating with the structures team leader on plans, calculations, and specifications for transportation infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of bridge design experience, Florida PE (or ability to obtain) and proficiency in OpenBridge Designer, LEAP, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's a plus).
• PE license in Florida, or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum 8 years of bridge design experience for FDOT.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO/FDOT criteria and plan prep requirements.
• Experience with industry-standard design software (OpenBridge, LEAP, MDX, FB-MultiPier, PTC Mathcad).
• Proficient bridge plan production using CAD software (Bentley OpenBridge).
• Excellent verbal/written communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist structures team leader in development of construction plans and details for bridges.
• Perform major structural analysis and design for reinforced, prestressed concrete, and steel plate girder bridges in Florida.
• Lead and manage task work orders on continuing services contracts.
• Complete Bridge Development Reports (BDRs) for FDOT projects.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of plans, calculations, and reports.
• Provide post-design services including review of shop drawings and RFIs.
• Assist in marketing and pursuit of Florida transportation projects.
