Job summary

Amazon is seeking a highly analytical Business Intelligence Engineer for the North America Transportation Services team in Irving, TX. You will own end-to-end analytics, build dashboards, and collaborate across data science, software, operations, and finance to improve delivery performance.

The role requires extensive SQL, data modeling, ETL, and visualization experience, plus cross-functional communication with leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
• 5+ years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and ETL pipelines
• Advanced SQL and ability to write complex queries from scratch from multiple tables
• Experience with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R, Python, Ruby, etc.
• Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting (Python) to process data for modeling

Responsibilities

• Define and execute reports to drive operational excellence.
• Expose gaps in the supply chain and recommend improvements.
• Communicate insights to senior management and cross-functional teams
