Job summary

Onslow House in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a dedicated Resident Transporter to safely transport residents to medical appointments, social outings, and other activities. You will assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensure vehicle cleanliness and maintenance, and coordinate transportation with staff and residents.

The role requires a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a compassionate approach to working with seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required).
• Experience in transportation, healthcare, or customer service (preferred).
• Ability to operate a passenger transport vehicle (training provided if necessary).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion for elderly and desire to work with seniors.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility needs (wheelchairs and walkers).

Responsibilities

• Safe transportation of residents to medical appointments and activities.
• Assist residents during boarding and exiting vehicles.
• Maintain and report vehicle maintenance needs.
• Coordinate schedules and routes with staff and residents.
• Follow traffic laws and safety protocols.
