Job summary

TENICA is seeking a Data Transport Networks Engineer in Chantilly, VA. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly and exposes responsibilities across optical circuit design, network health assessment, and cross-provider coordination.

Candidate will interact with network providers, perform design and testing, and support service levels and SLAs. A Bachelor's degree in CS/Networking with extensive IC experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, networking, or related fields.
• 15+ years' experience supporting IC network/transport requirements.
• 5+ years' experience performing network design/engineering/analysis for IC Agency network requirements.
• Strong network troubleshooting and analytical skills in the network domain.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the configuration management database for the customer's transport network.
• Interact with network and transport services providers to resolve anomalies and performance issues.
• Provide engineering for optical circuit design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Develop circuit specifications, test methodologies, and exercise testing techniques.
• Perform requirements analysis, schedule review, and cost estimation for services requiring new bandwidth.
• Conduct risk assessment and analysis of network architectures to mitigate outages.
• Review vendor documentation and network designs for technical details.
• Coordinate memoranda of understanding and cross-organization documents detailing SLAs.
