Job summary

TENICA is seeking an IT Network Engineer in Herndon, VA to guide the development of network designs and architecture to meet current and future needs. Candidates must hold ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE w/ FULL SCOPE Poly to be considered.

You will analyze and design comprehensive strategies, work with IT leadership for architectural alignment, and ensure security solutions are complete and viable within budget and schedule constraints.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of network concepts, architecture, operations, and tools.
• Experience with LANs/WANs and standard network topologies.
• Familiarity with router/switch admin, Ethernet, wireless protocols, and basic security practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design and develop a strategy and implementation plan for current, transitional and future state architecture viewpoints.
• Ensure compatibility with existing solutions, infrastructure, services and strategic requirements.
• Work closely with IT leadership to ensure architectural alignment with organizational goals and requirements.
• Ensure the conceptual completeness of technical security solutions.
• Define technical solutions analyzing the viability of the solution to meet the timeline, budget and quality.
• Perform other duties assigned as needed.
