Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Bethesda is seeking a Driver to provide safe, compassionate transportation for residents and assist with mobility as needed. The role emphasizes safe driving, adherence to safety protocols, and reliable vehicle operations.

Your duties include helping residents in and out of vehicles, performing inspections, logging trips, and supporting activities when not driving. A valid license and CPR may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; must be 21+.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• CPR certification as required.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
