Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electric Transmission Siting Lead to manage transmission projects from planning through stakeholder engagement. You will direct multidisciplinary teams and provide strategic client guidance on routing, siting, and regulatory elements.

The role requires leading complex siting efforts, strong judgment, and collaboration across environmental, regulatory, real estate, legal, and engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, geography, environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in electric transmission siting or related work.
• Led multidisciplinary teams on transmission/linear-infrastructure projects.
• Advanced GIS experience and routing/permits strategy.
• Strong communication with utility executives, regulators, communities.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and hearings.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex transmission-line, substation, and infrastructure siting assignments.
• Serve as a senior advisor to utility clients on routing, permitting, and stakeholder concerns.
• Guide agency strategy, public engagement, and risk responses.
• Resolve conflicts and determine when escalations are needed.
• Support proposal development, client relationships, and industry forums.
