Merjent, Inc. is seeking an experienced Routing & Siting Specialist to support planning, routing, permitting, and regulatory approval of electric transmission projects across Wisconsin and the Midwest.

The role involves evaluating corridors, developing defensible routes, and navigating CPCN/CA proceedings with a focus on regulatory readiness and stakeholder engagement. The candidate should have substantial power-sector experience, including leading routing activities, building regulatory

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the Power Sector with routing/siting experience.
• 3+ years leading electric transmission routing, siting, permitting and regulatory projects.
• Direct experience with Wisconsin PSC siting processes (CPCN/CA).
• Experience building and defending regulatory records with expert testimony.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and client stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead routing and siting studies for electric transmission lines in the Midwest.
• Develop route alternatives considering environment, land use, costs, and permitting.
• Support regulatory applications for Wisconsin PSC CPCN and CA proceedings.
• Coordinate with environmental, GIS, land, public involvement, and regulatory specialists.
• Prepare route analyses, regulatory documents, maps, and supporting exhibits.
• Develop technical positions and documentation for regulatory review and contested proceedings.
• Prepare expert testimony and responses to data requests, and assist witnesses.
• Engage with utilities, regulators, local governments, landowners, and stakeholders.
• Identify routing and permitting risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
• Provide senior-level quality review of routing, siting, and regulatory work products.
