Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Transmission Program Manager to develop and oversee transmission line maintenance programs in the FE footprint. The role focuses on delivering programs within approved scope, cost, and schedule, reporting to an office in the FE footprint.

The candidate will manage budgets, coordinate with Supply Chain, and oversee contractors and safety compliance. A BS in a related field and 10+ years of program management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (ABET preferred) or 5+ years of related experience.
• Minimum of ten years of Program Manager or equivalent experience (15 years if no degree).
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and monitor transmission line maintenance programs to meet scope, cost, and schedule.
• Prepare program documents, specifications, and bid materials; lead pre-bid meetings.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to competitively bid work and award contracts.
• Monitor budget and financials, track progress and coordinate resource needs.
• Oversee safety and quality with consultants and contractors; manage reporting.
• Coordinate outages and field inspections; ensure proper approvals and reporting.
