Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking a Transmission Program Manager to lead and oversee transmission line maintenance programs, ensuring reliability and safety across projects in multiple locations.

You will develop program specs, manage budgets, schedules, and coordinate with Supply Chain and contractors to deliver on scope. Ideal candidates bring a BS in engineering or business (or PE license) and 10+ years in program management or transmission work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Business, Engineering, Engineering Tch, Finance or equivalent preferred.
• Alternative: PE license or equivalent degree plus advanced degree.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience; 10+ years for PM role.
• Ability to work in office and field; travel as needed.
• Strong project management, communication, and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage transmission line programs to ensure reliability.
• Prepare program documents, bid documents, and conduct pre-bid meetings.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to bid work and award contracts.
• Monitor budgets, scope, and approvals; provide status updates.
• Oversee safety and quality assurance of contractors; QA documentation.
• Support capital project portfolio development and track financials.
