Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp is seeking a Transmission Program Manager to develop and manage transmission line programs, ensuring reliability, budget adherence and safety across multiple locations. You will coordinate with Supply Chain, prepare bid documents, and monitor progress and expenditures.

Ideal candidates bring extensive program management experience, engineering or business background, and familiarity with Primavera/MS Project; PE license is a plus. Travel to company locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Business, Engineering, Engineering Tech, Finance or equivalent preferred; ABET if engineering-related is nice.
• In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of related experience required.
• Minimum 10 years of Program Manager or equivalent experience; PE license or advanced degree may substitute.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks across locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop new or manage existing Transmission Line programs to ensure reliability of assets.
• Prepare program documents, specifications, and bid documents; conduct pre-bid meetings.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to bid work and award contracts.
• Review budgets for adequacy and ensure funds exist to support planned work.
• Monitor scope changes and secure approvals; provide program status reports.
• Oversee safety and QA with consultants/contractors; support incident reporting.
