GS2 | B Corp™ is seeking a Senior Transmission Planning Engineer to take a lead technical role on a lean, high-impact team supporting an expanding project pipeline across ERCOT and MISO. The position is hybrid in San Antonio with openness to relocation.

You will own studies end-to-end, mentor junior engineers, and represent the organization in technical discussions with ISOs and utilities while coordinating interconnection and transmission planning across the portfolio.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Experience in transmission planning or interconnection studies.
Hands-on experience with PowerWorld, PSSE, PLEXOS or TARA.
Knowledge of ERCOT and/or MISO interconnection processes preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead power flow modeling, interconnection analyses and utility coordination to identify project locations and sizes.
Conduct transmission analyses to evaluate constraints, congestion, curtailment risk and LMP concepts.
Review interconnection study results and validate modeling inputs and outputs.
Support negotiation of interconnection agreements, including technical exhibits and specifications.
Lead development and technical review of single-line diagrams and interconnection facility designs.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
Represent the organization in technical discussions with ISOs and utilities.
