Job summary

RWE Supply & Trading Americas, LLC in Austin seeks a (Senior) Transmission Manager to lead transmission analysis and interconnection studies across ERCOT, CAISO, and WECC. You will guide technical studies, support queue advancement, and collaborate with the Interconnection Execution team to mitigate commercial risks while advancing greenfield development.

The role requires strong skills in power flow, congestion analysis, and ISOs, with experience using multiple analysis tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering required. Master’s preferred.
Strong knowledge of transmission planning and interconnection processes.
Proven experience with multiple transmission analysis tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform system-wide transmission analysis to identify development in high-capacity grid areas.
Support interconnection applications and queue positions for ERCOT, CAISO, WECC.
Review utility/ISO study reports to identify errors and optimize scenarios.
Conduct power flow analyses to aid project development and acquisitions.
Evaluate congestion patterns and LMP risk to guide siting.
Engage in ISO stakeholder processes and working groups.
