Job summary

Salt River Project is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to provide engineering services for transmission planning and related power system analyses. The role involves evaluating the impact of generator connections and large loads, documenting results, and coordinating with management and consultants.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and at least five years of engineering experience, with progression to higher levels based on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent.
• Five years of full-time engineering experience.
• Demonstrated capability to perform advanced and difficult work within the engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services for SRP in a technically sound, safe, timely, and cost-effective manner to support SRP goals.
• Perform annual transmission planning analyses and identify capital projects for the next six to ten years.
• Assess impacts of connecting large and small generator projects and large customer loads to the transmission system.
• Document results, update management, and present findings as required.
• Supervise and review work by consultants and others.
• Represent SRP in industry committees and task forces as needed.
• Apply complex power system problem-solving skills and advocate SRP’s position in public/industry forums.
