Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in transmission planning, utility operations, or power systems consulting.
• Strong understanding of transmission system planning methodologies and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Recognition as a top industry expert via publications, leadership in technical societies, awards, or patents.

Responsibilities

• Conversant in performing powerflow studies at various capacities and system conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive transmission system studies including load flow, stability, short-circuit, and voltage analysis.
• Evaluate grid performance and recommend solutions to support renewable integration and system reliability.
• Interpret and apply regulatory standards (NERC, FERC, regional entities) to ensure compliance and assess operational risks.
• Lead technical execution of planning projects and mentor junior engineers and analysts.
• Develop and present technical reports, financial models, and strategic recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Support business development efforts including proposal writing and client engagement.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality consulting services tailored to client needs.
• Mentor Associate and Entry level planning engineers
