Entergy is seeking a Transmission Planning Engineer in New Orleans to develop long-term grid plans that optimize reliability and value for stakeholders. You will support regulatory and planning teams across the Entergy system, applying engineering principles and modern software tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience applying engineering principles to transmission grid planning and analyses.
• Strong problem solving, written and oral communication, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Uses engineering principles to solve problems and develop cost-effective, technically sound solutions.
• Evaluates the transmission grid and interprets codes, standards, and procedures.
• Supports compliance with NERC/SERC and other regulations.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to achieve stakeholder-centric solutions.
• Uses power system software (PSS/E, TARA) to evaluate grid performance.
• Assists with storm/restoration efforts as needed.
