Job summary

Element Six, partnered with a utility-scale developer, seeks a Transmission Planning Engineer to lead power flow analysis for greenfield and in-queue projects. You will shape project selections and growth of the planning team, with opportunities to influence decisions at senior levels.

You will run power flow models (SPP/MISO/PJ M), perform network upgrade analysis, and review RTO models. Strong communication skills and 4+ years of experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in transmission planning or steady-state analysis
• Hands-on power flow experience required
• Ability to explain technical results to non-engineers

Responsibilities

• Run power flow models on greenfield and in-queue projects.
• Carry out network upgrade analysis and upgrade cost estimates.
• Review RTO models for accuracy and propose changes to reduce project impacts.
• Build scenarios ahead of Cluster Study results to move quickly.
• Analyze Cluster and System Impact Study results and support interconnection applications.
• Turn results into actionable recommendations for development team and leadership.
