Job summary

AECOM in Texas is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Permitting Specialist for our Environmental Planning and Permitting team. This hybrid role can be based in Houston, Dallas, or Austin and focuses on permitting and entitlement work for energy infrastructure.

You will lead environmental planning and NEPA documentation, coordinate with state utility regulators, and manage multi‑disciplinary project teams on energy projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental planning or related field.
• 6 years of relevant experience in electric transmission and renewable energy with NEPA/PUC work.
• Ability to travel for agency/client meetings, as needed.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental planning and compliance for energy infrastructure, including NEPA docs and regulatory coordination with PUCs/PSCs and PUCT.
• Manage early-stage due diligence for siting energy projects and related infrastructure.
• Provide project management across mid- to large-sized projects, including schedules, budgets, invoicing, and client coordination.
• Develop environmental documents and entitlements for energy projects and grid modernization efforts.
• Support projects across Texas and other U.S. markets leveraging the national platform.
