Job summary

AECOM's Environmental Planning and Permitting team in Texas seeks a Senior Transmission Line Permitting Specialist. This hybrid role can be based in Houston, Dallas, or Austin and focuses on leading permitting and entitlement work for energy transmission projects.

You will prepare NEPA documents, coordinate with PUCs/PSCs, manage project teams, and help expand AECOM’s energy permitting portfolio across Texas and the U.S. markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in electric transmission and renewable energy permitting.
• Ability to travel for agency/client meetings.
• Valid driver’s license with MVR check.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental planning and compliance for energy infrastructure including NEPA docs and regulatory coordination.
• Manage due diligence and siting analyses for energy projects.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, invoicing, and client coordination.
• Prepare environmental documents and entitlements for energy projects.
• Mentor staff and lead multi-disciplinary teams on permitting tasks.
• Support marketing, pursuits, and proposals to grow the energy permitting portfolio.
