Job summary

AECOM seeks a Senior Transmission Line Permitting Specialist to join our Environmental Planning and Permitting team in Texas. Hybrid work option available from Houston, Dallas, or Austin offices, with duties spanning NEPA, permitting, and regulatory coordination for energy projects.

You will develop and manage environmental documents, lead client engagements, mentor teams, and expand our permitting portfolio across Texas and national markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental planning or related field.
• Experience with preparing PUC/NEPA documents, siting analysis, and permitting.
• Ability to travel for agency/client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental planning and compliance efforts for energy infra projects, including NEPA and state regulatory coordination.
• Manage early-stage due diligence for siting energy projects and related infrastructure.
• Provide project management across mid- to large-sized projects with schedules, budgets, invoicing, and client coordination.
• Prepare environmental documents and entitlements for energy sector projects.
• Support marketing, pursuit of opportunities, and cost estimates as a seller-doer.
• Mentor staff and provide technical direction and quality reviews.
