Job summary

The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) is seeking a Transmission System Operation Coordinator to maintain the seamless operation of the transmission system in Austin, Texas. In this role, you’ll engage with various colleagues, schedule transmission system switching activities, and support operators in everyday conditions.

Qualifications

• Nine or more years' experience in real-time operation and control of electric transmission and/or distribution systems.
• Experience with electric transmission and generation facilities.
• NERC System Operator Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate transmission system switching activities with ERCOT.
• Develop and maintain documentation of system outage plans.
• Coordinate outages with Independent Power Producers.
• Establish relationships with internal and external customers regarding outages.
• Support Transmission System Operators in daily and crisis situations.
