City and County of San Francisco seeks a seasoned supervisor to oversee maintenance and repair of high voltage transmission and distribution systems. You will direct crews, manage substation activities, and ensure safety practices for energized work across 600–230,000 V networks.

Requirements include a high school diploma and six years of journey-level experience, with California driver’s license (SF sites require Class B within six months; some locations may require Class A).

Qualificações

• Six years journeylevel line work experience on transmission/distribution systems up to 230,000 volts.
• Experience interpreting and applying procedures for transmission line construction and maintenance.
• Valid California driver’s license; SF locations require Class B license within six months; some sites require Class A within six months.

Responsabilidades

• Lay out, assign and supervise crews for construction, installation, maintenance and repair of high voltage lines under energized and de-energized conditions.
• Supervise maintenance and operation of substations (600–230,000 volts) including breakers, relays, batteries and controls.
• Ensure safety precautions and proper use of tools and equipment for energized work.
• Oversee washing of insulators and painting of poles and transmission towers under energized/de-energized conditions.
• Inspect and patrol transmission and distribution lines and clear right-of-way obstructions.
• Inspect switchgear, transformers and auxiliary equipment for proper operation.
• Prepare records and reports of time, materials and work performed.
• Develop subordinate staff through training and employee development programs.
