Job summary

Xcel Energy seeks a Senior Engineer to lead transmission line projects, applying advanced engineering standards and coordinating cross-functional teams. This role emphasizes technical leadership, design documentation, and adherence to codes and project specifications.

The position requires 7+ years of experience (or 5+ with EIT/FE) and may require PE registration. On-call rotation is part of the role, with a hybrid work model and opportunities for career growth within a Fortune 500 energy

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited curriculum.
5+ years of engineering experience with EIT/FE; 7+ years without EIT/FE.
PE registration may be required depending on business need.

Responsibilities

Applies extensive technical expertise and leads projects of moderate to large size or portions of major projects.
Provide field engineering oversight for activities such as testing, installation, inspections and commissioning.
Coordinate and lead multiple projects with internal and external stakeholders; budget, estimating and forecasting responsibilities.
