Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. seeks a Senior Transmission Line EIT 2 to join our Power Delivery team. Responsibilities include leading design tasks, performing PLS-CADD analyses, and coordinating permits for crossings. Requires ABET engineering degree, FE/EIT, and 2+ years in transmission line design.

Candidate should be technically focused, a strong leader, and proficient in client interaction and project coordination. On-site/hybrid work options in the region may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited college (Civil or Electrical preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of transmission line design experience.
• Solid knowledge of transmission line design concepts and principles.
• Proven track record with external customer engagements and client relationships.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and FAD Tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete day-to-day tasks for successful project delivery.
• Prepare specification packages and structural/fabrication drawings.
• Design and analyze transmission lines using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Analyze foundations and existing structures per codes and specs.
• Perform electrical clearance checks and calculations.
• Coordinate permits for railroads, roadways, and environmental crossings.
• Apply engineering principles to Power Delivery projects.
• Provide peer reviews; assist in QA of active projects.
• Mentor engineers and designers; support project management.
