Job summary

Eversource Energy in Hartford seeks a Senior Estimator to develop estimates for major projects across the three-state area, typically over $1M. You will document detailed scope to support accurate cost estimates and collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Siting, Environmental and other stakeholders to address risks.

Qualified candidates have electrical utility estimating experience and strong Excel/Word skills, with the ability to present estimates to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or estimating required.
• 5+ years in electrical utility estimating or engineering.
• Transmission experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for major projects typically over $1M.
• Support standardization of cost estimating templates across three-state territory.
• Develop collaboration with discipline engineering and support services for accuracy.
• Identify and quantify project risks and associated contingency costs.
• Present estimates to management in the review process.
• Support QA/QC measures and process improvement with stakeholders.
