Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Cost Engineer to monitor, analyze, and report on project costs for transmission projects, contributing to the estimating cost database and supporting cost estimates. You will reconcile data, develop metrics, drive process improvements, and ensure accurate historical data; travel between MA, CT, and NH may be required.

Responsibilities include data collection, cost tracking, and collaboration with Estimating personnel to maintain cost monitoring systems.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills for evaluation of project costs and data sources.
• Sound knowledge of estimating requirements and contracts administration techniques.
• Ability to interface with Eversource estimating personnel and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, analyzes, and reports on project costs for inclusion in the estimating database.
• Reconciles project cost data to maintain historical accuracy for future use.
• Develops metrics for estimate accuracy, scope changes, and cost impacts.
• Drives process improvements in the pricing and estimating process.
• Minimizes company exposure and risk on projects.
• Supports development and maintenance of cost estimates and tracking of costs vs. budgets.
