Job summary

REV Renewables in Walnut Creek, CA seeks a senior transmission planning engineer to support utility-scale renewable energy and storage development. You will provide transmission/interconnection analysis and study coordination for CAISO/WECC, focusing on Western US projects.

Requires 6–10 years in transmission planning, interconnection, and power systems engineering; CAISO/WECC experience; PSLF/PSSE/PowerWorld proficiency; ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 6–10 years of experience in transmission planning, generator interconnection, or renewables development.
• Direct experience with CAISO and WECC interconnection and transmission planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Support power generation project development, acquisition, and operations in transmission/interconnection/markets.
• Prepare and manage generator interconnection requests and follow study processes.
• Perform power flow analyses and review studies for interconnection costs.
• Coordinate interconnection studies and assess transmission upgrades.
• Assist in developing market entry strategies across West markets.
