HDR is seeking a highly motivated Senior Transit Project Manager to support our Transit Market Sector. This role involves providing project management and technical services to Transit agency clients, managing rail/transit projects, and working with various stakeholders in the rail and public agency sectors.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Transit public agencies, knowledge of relevant standards and requirements, and an understanding of project delivery processes across all phases from planning to construction support. You will also act as a seller-doer project manager, leading pursuits and helping grow market share in collaboration with the Transit Market Sector Leader and marketing teams.

This role may require travel for client projects, marketing pursuits, and internal meetings, with some in-office presence necessary for collaboration and meetings.

The primary duties include:

1. Managing client and design-team aspects of commuter and rail transit projects.
2. Overseeing multidisciplinary projects with high technical complexity, managing design, plans, specifications, estimates, and other deliverables.
3. Handling multiple projects concurrently.
4. Serving as Project Manager on various transportation projects.
5. Enhancing client relationships and participating in contractual and design meetings.
6. Supporting proposal development and marketing activities.
7. Implementing QA/QC procedures and reviewing transit projects.
8. Coordinating staffing and workload with sector leaders.
9. Supervising project staff, mentoring less experienced managers, and executing training.
10. Performing additional duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Transit/rail engineering and managing multidisciplinary railway projects.
• Construction inspection or management experience.
• PE license.
• Knowledge of FTA and transit engineering standards.
• PMP certification.
• Ability to manage large programs and multiple assignments.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Proficiency with relevant software such as MS Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Primavera, and project management tools.
• Ability to pass background checks and work legally in the U.S. with a valid driver’s license.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering.
• At least 10 years of related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• PE license.
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project.
• Leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.
