Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Transit Division seeks a Transportation Program Section Chief to lead the Grants Administration team within the Finance and Grant Administration Branch. You will oversee grant programs, review applications, provide guidance, and respond to grantees about funding, eligibility and compliance.

Future duties may include bicycle and pedestrian grants. You will supervise Transportation Program Consultants and a Grant Manager, lead weekly staff

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal guidelines related to transportation.
• Experience managing projects, programs, staff and consultants.
• Experience serving as a technical advisor to internal and external partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.
