Job summary

HART is seeking a Senior Communications Technician to maintain transit signaling and passenger information systems. The role covers installation, testing and repair of radios, antennas, fareboxes and related electronics across our fleet.

Qualified candidates will have an associate degree in electronics or related field, 5+ years of experience, FCC license, and Florida CDL Class B with Passenger endorsement within 90 days. Union represented, Tampa, FL based position.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics or telecommunications.
At least five years installing, maintaining and repairing electronic equipment.
FCC license and Florida CDL Class B with Passenger endorsement within 90 days.
Ability to diagnose defects, read plans, and use diagnostic equipment.
Ability to work with varied teams and maintain records.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, installation, testing and adjustment of radios and antenna systems.
Maintain passenger information systems and fare collection equipment.
Inspect and repair intercommunication, public address and related electronics.
Diagnose faults and repair equipment to component level.
Modify equipment for new applications and support other technicians.
Prepare service records and reports.
