Job summary

Rand Machine Products is seeking a Sr Transformation Engineer to develop and optimize machining processes across multiple facilities supporting aerospace and defense programs. You will ensure production standards, process efficiency, quality compliance, and continuous improvement across sites.

The role requires travel between facilities and collaboration with Quality, Production, and Program Management teams to drive lean initiatives and maintain traceability across complex assemblies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related).
• 3–7+ years of machining/manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, and GD&T.
• Experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing and AS9100 familiarity (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC milling, turning, and grinding processes.
• Create work instructions, routers, and process docs.
• Drive cycle time reductions, cost savings, and yield improvements.
• Support NPI and process validation; assist automation initiatives.
• Provide multi-site engineering support and standardize processes.
