Job summary

Rand Aerospace and Defense is seeking a Sr Transformation Engineer to develop and optimize CNC machining processes across multiple facilities supporting aerospace programs.

You will standardize processes, ensure quality compliance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and support NPI. Strong communication is essential for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 3–7+ years in machining/manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of CNC processes and tooling.
• GD&T and blueprint reading proficiency.
• Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC machining processes (milling, turning, grinding).
• Standardize processes, tooling, and best practices across multiple sites.
• Ensure AS9100 compliance and support customer/regulatory audits.
• Lead or support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams across sites.

Job description

The Sr Transformation Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing machining processes across multiple facilities supporting aerospace and defense programs.
