Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and ability to become licensed in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant legal experience with strong drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal support for sophisticated commercial transactions, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a broad range of agreements typical for a large, R1 institution.
• Serve as primary legal counsel to the procurement and purchasing functions, advising on procurement policies, contracting processes, competitive sourcing, vendor relationships, and complex agreements.
• Lead legal support for institutional affiliation agreements with academic institutions, healthcare providers, government entities, nonprofits, and private sector partners.
• Provide guidance on acquisitions and divestitures of university assets; artificial intelligence; and data privacy and information security.
