Job summary

Rutgers University’s School of Health Professions (RBHS) seeks a Senior Training and Consultation Specialist to work on NJ DHS-DMHAS grant-funded training projects in psychiatric rehabilitation. You will develop curricula for in-person and online training, deliver to adult learners, and evaluate outcomes.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, with doctoral preferred, plus experience coordinating training or consulting in education/behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a related field is required with a strong focus on education/behavioral sciences.
• Doctoral degree preferred with 2+ years coordinating adult-directed training or educational programs and/or consulting.
• Equivalent experience, education and/or training may substitute for the education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops and delivers educational training programs for NJ DHS grant-funded projects by developing curricula for in-person and web-based training using CANVAS; delivering curricula to adult learners and preparing educational materials.
• Provides consultation/technical assistance to administrators, supervisors, clinicians and staff; develops individualized assistance plans and supports funders and stakeholders; stays current on mental health research and implementation strategies.
• Completes formative, process, outcome and impact evaluation of training using survey tools to measure knowledge, skills, and behavior change.
• Contributes to and prepares reports related to program outcomes and scholarly manuscripts.
