Job summary

Langan is seeking a Project Traffic / Transportation Engineer for its Charlotte, NC team to lead traffic and parking studies, planning studies, and traffic signal/roadway design projects. You will manage multiple studies and deliver challenging transportation projects with a collaborative team.

Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree, 7+ years of traffic experience, EIT with PE path, and proficiency with HCS, SYNCHRO, MUTCD; AutoCAD or MicroStation a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of traffic engineering experience.
• EIT licensure with ability to obtain PE license.
• Experience with HCS, SYNCHRO, and MUTCD.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong ability to coordinate multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform the planning and permitting of traffic/transportation engineering.
• Conduct traffic analysis for traffic impact studies.
• Oversee collecting traffic volume, road, and regulatory data.
• Conduct preliminary traffic reviews at the project concept stage to identify issues.
• Draft reports including traffic impact and parking studies.
• Use engineering design software to prepare documents.
• Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, estimates, and designs.
• Coordinate field services as needed.
