Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science.
• Five years experience working with traffic signal and/or intelligent transportation systems.
• PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within six months.
• Possession of a valid Texas Operator’s License, Class C.

Responsibilities

• Manage traffic signal systems including timing, plan set development, construction, operation, and studies.
• Oversee ITS projects from design to operation and the Traffic Management Center.
• Supervise staff to meet department goals.
• Communicate ITS benefits to officials, committees, and the public.
