Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Florida is seeking a Senior Staff Traffic Engineer to join a collaborative team. You will perform traffic and parking studies, transportation planning studies, and traffic signal/roadway design projects on diverse client projects across multiple markets.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will lead planning efforts, supervise staff, and contribute to proposals and project budgets while ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 3+ years in traffic/transportation engineering and related studies.
• Experience with HCS, SYNCHRO, MUTCD; AutoCAD and MicroStation a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and budget management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform planning and permitting of traffic/transportation engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct traffic analysis for traffic impact studies.
• Oversee field staff collecting traffic volume, road, and regulatory data.
• Conduct preliminary traffic reviews at project concept stage to identify critical issues.
• Apply engineering and advanced mathematics to projects.
• Write and review traffic/parking studies and reports.
• Use SYNCHRO, HCS, and related tools to prepare design documents.
• Prepare proposals and review invoices and project budgets with team.
