Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking a motivated Traffic Project Engineer to join our growing team. You will deliver infrastructure solutions, perform traffic signal design and engineering analysis, and prepare memos and reports with accuracy.

Responsibilities include assisting in scope and schedule, mentoring staff, reviewing documentation, and collaborating with clients and agencies to resolve challenges. On-site visits may be required as projects progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited engineering program.
• 5+ years of traffic engineering and design experience.
• Registered PE.
• Knowledge of capacity analysis software such as Synchro 12, HCS, SIDRA, etc.
• Knowledge of Bentley OpenRoads Designer a plus.
• Experience with TDOT procedures, policies and standards a plus.
• Experience with NDOT procedures, policies and standards a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists in project scope, budget and schedule development.
• Supports PM providing technical knowledge on various projects.
• Prepares and reviews engineering specifications, documents, drawings, etc. to produce various deliverables.
• Mentors and reviews work of technicians and more junior staff.
• Collaborate with project team members, client representatives, and review agencies to help resolve challenges.
• Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, as appropriate.
• Conducts on-site visits, as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as requested.
