Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Traffic Project Engineer to deliver infrastructure solutions that impact communities. You will lead traffic signal design, traffic engineering analysis, technical writing, and the preparation of memos and reports.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years of traffic experience, and a registered PE. Proficiency with Synchro, HCS or SIDRA and familiarity with OpenRoads Designer are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited engineering program.
• 5+ years of traffic engineering and design experience.
• Registered PE.
• Knowledge of capacity analysis software such as Synchro 12, HCS, SIDRA, etc.
• Knowledge of Bentley OpenRoads Designer a plus.
• Experience with TDOT procedures, policies and standards a plus.
• Experience with NDOT procedures, policies and standards a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists in project scope, budget and schedule development.
• Supports PM providing technical knowledge on various projects.
• Prepares and reviews engineering specifications, documents, drawings, etc. to produce various deliverables.
• Mentors and reviews work of technicians and more junior staff.
• Collaborate with project team members, client representatives, and review agencies to help resolve challenges.
• Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, as appropriate.
• Conducts on-site visits, as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as requested.
