Job summary

Metro Associates seeks a Senior Traffic Project Manager to lead Rochester-area transportation projects in our transportation & civil engineering practice. You will oversee scope, schedule, budgets, client relationships, and agency coordination to deliver safe, efficient mobility solutions.

Ideal candidates have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, 10+ years in civil transportation with DOT/municipal project experience, and a PE license or the ability to obtain one; proficiency with MicroStation and

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of civil transportation engineering experience, including project management of DOT-funded highway, bridge, or traffic projects.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it.
• Proficiency in MS Office; MicroStation experience preferred; familiarity with NYSDOT design standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mid-to-large-scale transportation and traffic projects from setup through planning, safety analysis, design strategy, project kick-off, delivery, and closeout.
• Manage project budgets, scope, schedules, staffing, billing, QA/QC, client updates, agency coordination, and timely delivery of high-quality transportation deliverables.
• Collaborate with teams, clients, partners, stakeholders, and approving agencies to align project goals and navigate public processes.
