Job summary

Markwins Beauty Brands seeks a Manager, Traffic & Logistics to lead logistics policies, shipping plans, and carrier negotiations, reporting to the VP of Distribution. This role supports a high-volume operation and requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to work independently and in a team.

The position demands coordinating with retailers, optimizing routing options, and supervising transportation staff while maintaining compliance with regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years progressive distribution and logistics knowledge.
• 2-3 years experience managing transportation operations and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Develop operational policies designed to ensure timely product delivery to customers.
• Observe delivery deadlines and ensure ship dates are met with retailers.
• Coordinate with large retail customers to meet routing and ship dates.
• Negotiate freight rates with carriers and resolve issues to avoid late shipments.
• Evaluate carrier performance and propose efficiency improvements.
• Develop systems to track shipments along delivery routes.
• Plan manpower requisitions and hires; conduct employee reviews.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
