Overhead Door Corporation seeks a Traffic Manager to oversee all transportation and shipping operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods. Manage outbound shipping, loading operations, routing decisions, and budgeting while leading the traffic team.

The role drives continuous improvement by optimizing transportation processes, resolving shipping issues, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and customer delivery requirements.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in traffic and logistics.
• Strong analytical, engineering, and financial background.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Experience using Oracle Operating system.

Responsibilities

• Develops methods and procedures for transportation of raw materials to processing and production areas and transportation of commodities from departments to customers, warehouses and other storage facilities.
• Determines the most economical and efficient routing and mode of transportation for facility shipments.
• Directs scheduling of shipments and notifies concerned departments or customers of arrival dates.
• Responsible for management of loading crews for all shipments to customers, ensuring timely loading, safety, protection of product, and efficient trailer usage.
• Initiates investigations into causes of damages or shortages in consignments or overcharges for freight or insurance.
• Conducts studies in packaging, warehousing, and loading of commodities and evaluates procedures and standards.
• Initiates changes to improve control and efficiency of the traffic department.
• Ensures compliance with transportation budgets and cost control.
• Manages location cost center and assists in department budgets.
• Trains and mentors employees.
