DRMP is expanding its transportation engineering services and seeks a Senior Traffic Engineering Project Manager, PE to lead complex traffic studies, impact analyses, and modeling projects from inception through completion. The role emphasizes business development, client engagement, and staff mentorship in a growing Carolinas/Virginia market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 7–10+ years of progressively responsible experience with public/private sector projects.
• Proven track record of completing traffic studies in the state.
• Existing contacts with private sector development clients.
• PE licensure in the state where work is performed.
• Knowledge of applicable technical analysis standards and practices.
• Strong knowledge of Synchro, SIDRA, and other software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of traffic engineering studies and traffic impact analyses through project life cycle.
• Lead and grow the traffic engineering practice and mentor staff.
• Manage multiple private sector traffic studies and provide technical QC.
• Support marketing with project pursuits, technical presentations, and interviews.
• Prepare project fee proposals and track costs, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Interface with clients while traveling as needed.
