Job summary

STV Incorporated, headquartered in New York City, seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our Hartford, CT transportation team. You will perform traffic studies and design signals for CTDOT and municipalities, leveraging MicroStation/OpenRoads and traffic software to analyze operations.

The role requires a BSCE with 10–15+ years of experience, PE license, and PTOE preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration are essential for multidisciplinary project delivery.

Qualifications

• BSCE degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10–15+ years of experience.
• PE license required; PTOE preferred.
• Experience with CTDOT/CT municipalities and traffic signal design is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic engineering studies and traffic signal design for CTDOT and municipalities.
• Conduct traffic simulation analysis using VISSIM, Synchro, SimTraffic; analyze operations with HCS.
• Prepare traffic impact studies and analysis reports; support environmental studies and roadway design elements.
• Coordinate with DOT and local agencies; assist in public information meetings.
