Job summary

LVI Associates seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer/Traffic Modeler to support traffic operations, signal design, transportation analysis, and roadway improvement projects in Florida, with offices in Miami or Tampa.

You will work with state and local agencies, lead capacity analyses and traffic modeling using industry tools, produce reports, and mentor junior staff while advancing complex infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Florida P.E. license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Minimum of five years in traffic/transportation engineering or traffic modeling.
• Strong knowledge of FDOT design standards, policies, and plan prep criteria.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic signal, signing, and pavement marking design as Engineer of Record on applicable projects.
• Perform intersection and roadway capacity analyses, traffic modeling, and traffic impact studies with industry-standard software.
• Prepare and oversee reports, documentation, calculations, and technical studies for project delivery.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and support projects across offices/regions.
• Perform QA/QC reviews and assist with proposals, presentations, and BD efforts.
