Job summary
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our Traffic/ITS Group in Lone Tree, Colorado, with opportunities in Westlake, TX and other North American locations. You will lead and mentor engineers and design teams to deliver safe, efficient traffic solutions for design/build projects.
The role requires 10+ years of transportation experience, a PE license, and expertise in traffic operations, ITS, signaling, and roadway lighting.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of transportation project experience in traffic design fields.
- Professional Engineer licensure required; PTOE recommended.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering with emphasis in traffic is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and oversee entry- to mid-level staff in traffic disciplines.
- Lead production of traffic components: signals, signing, striping, ITS, lighting.
- Coordinate with design teams to deliver safe, constructible traffic solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and project deliverables.
- Lead design reviews and ensure quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
