Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) has an immediate opening for a Traffic Engineer in our Traffic/ITS Group with options to be based in Lone Tree, Colorado; Westlake, Texas; Seattle, Washington; or Raleigh, North Carolina.

As part of a multi‑disciplinary design team, you will plan, analyze, and design transportation projects across North America, applying traffic analysis, ITS, signing, signals, and roadway lighting to deliver safe, efficient solutions.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience supporting transportation projects with responsibilities related to traffic engineering analysis, design, or operations.
Engineering degree and EIT/FE certification required.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning, analysis, and design of transportation projects across North America as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Support traffic engineering tasks from preliminary through final design in ITS, signing, markings, and signals.
Apply traffic engineering principles to develop safe, efficient transportation solutions.
Review traffic operations and maintenance plans to support project delivery and safety objectives.
Coordinate with engineers and designers to develop integrated project solutions.
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and design documentation.
