Job summary

FC Traffic Control, Inc. in Brenham, TX is seeking an Operations Manager (Traffic Control) to lead daily field operations, manage dispatch and scheduling, and supervise field staff.

This role focuses on safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction while ensuring regulatory compliance. You will hire, train, and coach teams, drive process improvements, monitor KPIs, and oversee budgeting and payroll approvals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in traffic control or construction operations, with 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Deep understanding of traffic control procedures, plans, and regulations.
• Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification preferred but not required; obtain within 60 days if not held.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and field staff, including scheduling, dispatch, and job assignments.
• Supervise and support Supervisors and Traffic Control Technicians.
• Conduct timely performance evaluations and manage coaching, discipline, and terminations per policy.
• Hire, train, and mentor field staff, promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Facilitate regular team meetings to reinforce safety and company updates.
• Monitor and improve operational efficiency using defined metrics and standards.
• Oversee payroll inputs and ensure accurate hours for payroll processing.
