Job summary

Trumid is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build the core trading systems that power our platform. You will join one of our teams, contribute to design, development and testing, and help migrate critical workflows onto an Aeron-based architecture in a fast-moving fintech environment.

We prize deep experience in capital markets, JVM languages (Scala preferred), distributed systems, and low-latency optimization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in capital markets or trading workflows.
• Proficiency in JVM-based languages (Scala preferred).
• Experience designing, implementing and maintaining scalable distributed systems.
• Strong focus on observability, testing, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, FIX, Kafka, and Aeron messaging.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production.
• AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while preserving quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, Develop and Test: Build protocols and features to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Support and Maintain: Ensure reliability and availability of services and improve operational processes.
• Optimize Performance: Improve low-latency, high-throughput characteristics of trading systems.
• Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects and foster a team-oriented culture.
