Job summary

Orange County Government in Florida is seeking a Trades Technician III for the Facilities Management Division at the 33rd Street Maintenance office (Corrections). This multi-trades role handles electrical, plumbing, HVAC, locksmithing, carpentry, and related systems with independent judgment and journeyman-level skills.

You will work with staff, vendors, and contractors, train junior technicians, and perform preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years in skilled trades.
• Must possess valid licenses/certifications listed in the posting.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled multi-trades work in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems.
• Inspect, install, repair, and service electrical systems up to 480 volts.
• Coordinate with staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure service quality.
• Mentor lower-level technicians and operate under supervision.
